My mission is to take the WEconomy mainstream.
So the world knows there is something we can actually do to make the change.
The rewires wealth and power for good.
Evil will not prevail.
There is too much in the human spirit for us to fail.
That people have been working on sometimes for decades.
Pouring their blood sweat and tears into, not knowing whether they’d live to see the fruits of their labour.
I’ve been studying the culture science and network science and and systems theory behind this.
I’m telling you we now have the opportunity to live to see it.
Not just in our lifetimes, but within the next year or two see a massive cultural shift that begins to change everything.
To a fairer economy and better future.
Similar to how the #metoo movement was the result of the hard work of Tarana Burke’s efforts over years building the strong social ties that made it possible once a celebrity tweeted about it.
The community wealth movement is already something we intuitively know and have been building and just hasn’t been voiced in the culture yet.
I’m here to voice it in the culture.
The more support I can get in doing that, the faster it will happen.
But I’m only able to do maybe ten percent of what I could from my current situation.
Yesterday, someone offered me a hotel room.
I caught myself turning it down.
Terrified, not of the room, but of the cost and the next eviction right around the corner.
I counted it up once and I had some form of eviction more than forty times in the past four years.
I told my best friend.
He said “You’ve been institutionalised to the outside.
That gutted me.
No wonder people think homeless people don’t want to be helped.
But I DO want a home.
I just need it to not run out within days.
I need wraparound supports to recover from years of this, from all the things I’ve gone through no one can see.
That’s why this big push for a year’s worth of stability.
If I can get cited in Scotland’s parliament with six weeks of stability (staying with best friend)
