Today, I was losing it a little.
The sleep deprivation is getting to me a little.
I was driving to the board meeting for one of our local homeless charities, Safe Harbor, where I sit on the board as a lived experience advisor.
There was a car I thought was parked.
It wasn’t!
I swerved to avoid hitting it.
The question of the day: do I eat up my in hand funds on more emergency hotels?
I really need rest.
Then, we had a Connectioning call.
Thank you all so much who attended and for the support, it was so wonderful to see you and such a boon to my soul. (I will send the follow up email just as soon as I can)
Later in the day, still debating what to do, I received a phone call.
It was so unexpected but —
Open Door Shelter had a space!
So pardon today’s email coming so late.
It’s been a lot of paperwork.
This is the most wonderful and homey shelter I’ve been in.
Hopefully tomorrow will be rested enough to tell you more.
For now, the crowdfunder is at $9,473
