Thanks for being part of a network of tens of thousands of people who are ready for a fairer economy and a better future.

I’ve got some exciting updates about upcoming projects and tools that are going to make that a lot easier for all of us.

First, I have been writing two guides.

The first, is our answer to the Powell Memo, which in 1971 coordinated people in power to not only keep but to broaden the class divide, primarily through education and media, using psychological principles that have now been fine-tuned by marketing execs the world over.

This is The Power Memo. And it shows us how to reverse this.

Second is our sequel to Thomas Paine’s common sense, which in 1776 showed everyone that we’re actually all on the same page and inspired the revolutionary war in America.

It sold 500k copies in a population of 2.5 million at a time when the internet was a printing press, and was cited orally in pubs.

I talk to people every day on the street who intuitively know this is not working.

And that we don’t have a unified message.

It seems obvious to us, but like no one else is on the same page.

This is that unified message, but adapted for a world with billions.

This is Of Course: A New Common Sense, and it shows how everyone is on the same page, and what we can actually do (hint: this time it’s NOT revolution, but it does have practical steps).

I am launching these with a big crowdfunder on the 29th of June to fund the infrastructure for everyone coming in asking What can I do? How can I start? How do I find my people?

This is one big push to get the support we need to create a space and supports to get these questions answered and get people the actual help they need to start.

This is a bit of a barn raising for the 300+ movements to a new economy, and if you’d like to chip in by taking a couple of actions a day to help, we have a group chat and a dashboard for that and could really use your help!

An economy is just how we get each other’s needs met. A wellbeing economy is one designed to actually do that — for everyone, not just the people at the top.

Instead of a ME-ME-ME Money economy that has us competing with each other over money and GDP as a measure of success, a WEconomy that brings us together and prioritises a win-win for everyone, cooperation first, and people and planet over profit.

The solutions already exist. They just need to be visible, connected, and powerful enough to become the new normal.

That’s what we’re building here.

“Think Globally, Build Locally.”

^{Not quietly, not slowly — but in parliaments, in city halls, in the way ordinary people are starting to ask different questions about where their money goes and who their economy is actually working for.}

I’ve spent years sharing stories of the wellbeing economy with you because the evidence keeps proving it works. And this week, a report card on the U.S. local economy movement landed in my inbox and I wanted to share it.

The Main Street Journal has published a full analysis of where the local economy movement stands right now. And the picture is one of real, measurable progress.

The evidence base has never been stronger. Studies keep confirming that greater local ownership increases income, wealth, and jobs in communities. Millions of people are now investing directly in their own local economies through crowdfunding.

Cities like Cleveland, Chicago, and Baltimore are mobilising anchor institutions — hospitals, universities, local government — to keep wealth circulating where it’s generated. Worker cooperatives are growing. And polling shows the public is firmly behind all of it.

This is the WEconomy in action. Not just theory or talking points. Reality, happening right now, all over the world.

And we know what’s happening here too. Scotland passed Community Wealth Building legislation unanimously earlier this year. The five pillars — fair work, progressive procurement, community ownership, local finance, democratic land use — are now law. The movement has gone from movement to mandate.

I want you to read this and feel the momentum behind what we are all part of together. This is bigger than any one country, any one publication, any one community. It is a worldwide shift toward an economy that works for all of us.

Driver-owned rideshare is here. And it’s better for everyone.

In Colorado, rideshare drivers were taking home just 30–40% of every fare. No job security. No say in how the platform worked. So they built their own.

Drivers Cooperative Colorado is owned by its 1,500 drivers. On their platform, drivers keep 80% of every fare — guaranteed. One member, one vote. They now serve four cities and just added Denver International Airport.

Something wonderfully historic just happened. And you were a part of it.

Scotland is now the first country in the world to legally require community wealth building across its public sector. The Community Wealth Building Bill passed on February 11, 2026, mandating that government bodies create and implement plans to keep wealth circulating locally through five pillars: Progressive Procurement, Fair Employment, Plural Ownership, Democratic Land Use, and Local Finance.

Money made in your town, staying in your town. Instead of flowing into the pockets of people who already have too much, it goes toward real people, real jobs, real land, real community. In Scotland, that is the law.

Connectioning got the news out, and you helped it travel. Our Scotland video hit over 4 million views and was cited on the floor of parliament during the final vote. Your attention reached Holyrood.
